"New Path saved my daughter's life."
1 in 5 Canadian children and youth has a diagnosable mental health concern and research has proven that early intervention is critical to providing them with a hopeful and healthy future.
Here at New Path we know the importance of early intervention and treatment. We are committed to making sure that children, youth and their families in need of help has timely access to a wide range of short and long term mental health supports when and where they need them.
Because mental health can't wait. New Path Youth and Family Services offers a range of fully-funded child and youth mental health services to children, youth and their families across 8 office locations in Simcoe County, as well as in many elementary and secondary schools.
In order to ensure timely and responsive services, child and youth mental health walk-in clinics are available to offer immediate mental health support. This service can also be a first step to accessing additional mental health supports including groups for children and parents, short and long-term counselling and therapy, and a residential program. The Walk-In Clinic is available at New Path offices in Alliston, Barrie, Bradford, Collingwood, Orillia and Midland.
Although funding has not kept pace with demand, we are committed to ensuring accessibility of service and offer these mental health support at no cost. When provided at the right time, these provide children, youth and their families with the hope, opportunity and confidence to reach their potential.
With your support, we can continue to make a difference in the lives of children, youth and their families in our community needing help. Your generosity and commitment to making a difference allows New Path to continue to provide innovative, timely and accessible services to children, youth and families needing our help.
“New Path has essentially saved my daughter’s life. I can’t be any more direct than that. By finally having the support of a therapist, who allowed her to talk about the traumatic events that have led her here, to the support of the staff when things got rough, to a Program Manager who has showed her time and time again that he will not discharge her from the program until she is truly ready to lead a healthy life at home, my daughter has been able to not only stabilize but to flourish.”
